Thank you for taking the time to stop by and check out my site. I'm an author with a portfolio that runs from one end of the spectrum to the other. You can read more about that here.
The first two novels in my Deiparian Saga trilogy, The Witchfinder and The Crimson Fathers, are available in hardcover, paperback, and ebook from BHC Press (www.bhcpress.com) and retailers far and wide. Book 3, Bane of the Witch, is slated for a 2024 release. This post-apocalyptic epic fantasy series has garnered solid reviews on Amazon and Goodreads. The Witchfinder was nominated for the 2021 Pushcart Prize.
I'm also delighted to announce that my horror novel, With a Blighted Touch, has been picked up by BHC Press as well! Keep checking back for updates on when it will be available.
I'm looking to build a platform of readers who enjoy post-apocalyptic fantasy. So if you're into medieval settings, Stephen King, early 80s Italian end-of-the-world films, Dungeons & Dragons, horror, epic quests, H.P. Lovecraft, weird and deadly creatures, Ramsey Campbell, magic, Stephen Chbosky, and characters struggling to find their place in a rapidly-changing world, then please sign up for my newsletter at the bottom of the page.
The realm of Deiparia—what was once the United States—teeters on the edge of a new millennium. Spiritual fervor is high. The Church of the Deiparous is worshiped and served as God. And the Church’s rising star, “The Hammer of the Heiromonarch,” Malachi Thorne of the Paracletian Order, is on track for great things. So when a convicted traitor and heretic escapes Thorne’s grip, you know he won’t tolerate anything marring his perfect record.
Thorne journeys across the realm in pursuit of his quarry and a freedom fighter named Traugott, confronting demons, sorcery, a witch cult out for his blood, and a madman within his own Order. However, these pale in comparison to the truth about Traugott. When Witchfinder and freedom fighter come face to face, Thorne is plunged into a mental and spiritual crisis like he’s never known.
Dario Darien, Thorne’s clerk and trusted friend, uncovers evidence of a sinister cabal of resurrected evil from the Church’s forbidden past. As he searches for answers to his brother-in-law’s mysterious death, his niece and nephew become pawns in a sinister plan.
Teska Vaun is a survivor, a woman with a chip on her shoulder and a unique gift that has earned her the nickname “The Ghost.” She pursues vengeance against Solomon Warner, one of Thorne’s deputies. But she didn’t expect to develop feelings for a certain Witchfinder nor discover she might be the redeemer—or ruination—of the future.
The realm of Deiparia races toward a cataclysmic confrontation of war, magic, freedom and faith. Beliefs will be shattered, tenuous alliances made, and no one will be left unchanged.
The Crimson Fathers
Malachi Thorne and Teska Vaun forge new alliances as they attempt to strengthen the underground resistance movement against the Fifth Order and the Crimson Fathers. An unexpected betrayal throws everything into chaos--until Thorne devises a radical and dangerous plan that will send an unforgettable message to the Fifth Order. But in order to carry it out, he first needs to find "The Flame," an ancient weapon that may be the only hope of destroying the Crimson Fathers.
Dario Darien, Tycho Hawkes, and Solomon Warner find themselves prisoners in a Church compliance camp as they track down Dario's niece and nephew. With new friends at their side they must face the frigid dangers of the Great Appian Mountains and the dark things that live among the towering peaks.
The Three Who Are One and the Enodia Communion, severely diminished after the events of The Witchfinder, must decide where their future lies. A burgeoning civil war within their ranks threatens to tear them apart when they are at their weakest.
All these threads come together in an earth-shattering climax that will forever reshape Thorne, Vaun, the Crimson Fathers, the Church of the Deiparous, and the fate of the known world.
With a Blighted Touch
What if your touch made someone else susceptible for a merciless, evil entity? One touch of your hand and people could die in bizarre, gruesome or mystifying ways. Imagine being the plaything of a blasphemous monstrosity—and you aren’t even aware of it.
That’s the predicament of Christopher “Kit” McNeil. In the midst of a broken, hand-to-mouth life, an unexpected death forces him to return to his small hometown in the Tennessee mountains after eighteen years. A talented guitarist with a history of foul luck and poor choices, Kit discovers a connection between himself and the plague of deaths that have devastated nearly half of his high school graduating class.
When he becomes a suspect in the death of a police officer, and is stalked by three horrific and unnatural children, Kit realizes that the blighted nature of the town—and his own life—are linked to an ancient, malefic being. She will soon be free to roam the land once more. But can Kit get out of his own way long enough to face down the Mother of a Thousand Wombs? Or will the depraved Dunley family continue their reign of terror over Black Rock by helping to unleashing the thing that the Cherokee once called Uyaga?
